zopiclone induced sleep

I have been told i must take my Zopiclone sleeping pills because my insomnia can make my bipolar worse which it has. I was more manic without sleep.
Don't get me wrong they are great, although they are highly addictive and give you a nasty taste and smell of bitterness.
I only take them when i really need them.
I will rattle soon because of the amount of medications i am going to be on.

Citalopram AKA Celexa

I have been put on Citalopram and it has worked great in a lot of areas. I'm still sick as i need a mood stablizer and/or an anti-psychotic as it is dangerous to just be on an anti-depressant when you are Bipolar as it can make you worse with the mania

The side-effects i experienced when i started Citalopram were:

Yawning
Nausea
Easier to wake up
enlarged pupils

My doctor recentley doubled my dose up to 40mg

Mixed Episodes. The Dangerous One.

I have been experiencing mixed episodes, which are not nice and are not safe.
My symptoms of a mixed episode:

Agitation
Anxiety
Feeling of energy under my skin
Feeling low and up at the same time
Laughing at what should be distressing or at bad times
Impulsive behaviour
Rapid speech
Jumping from subject to subject
Racing thoughts

The suicide rate goes up for people like myself experiencing mixed episodes.
Why?
You have the energy to do it unlike a crushing, energy void of a depressive episode. Also if you suffer with anxiety too like me then that is a further risk because the future seems dark and the present is unbearable.

Unfortunately mixed episodes are very difficult to treat.
